Emergency and Same-Day Electrical Service — Fairfax County and Northern Virginia
A tripped main breaker at midnight, a burning smell from an outlet, exposed wiring after a storm — these are problems that cannot wait for a scheduled appointment. Ahmad is available for emergency calls when you need an electrician now, not next week.
The same commitment applies during the day. If you call in the morning with a problem that needs solving today, Ahmad will get to you the same day whenever his schedule allows. Most of his emergency and same-day work covers electrical troubleshooting — diagnosing the fault, isolating the circuit, and making the repair in one visit so your home is safe when he leaves.
Ahmad covers roughly a 30-mile radius from Fairfax — all of Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Montgomery County, Maryland. Not sure whether you are in range? Call (571) 500-6637 and ask.

Meet Ahmad Shaban
Ahmad Shaban has worked in the electrical trade since 2018 and holds a Virginia Master Electrician licence — the highest individual electrical licence the Commonwealth issues. He established EV-Electric Services in 2025 and does every job himself. No crew, no subcontractors, no dispatched technicians.
The person who answers your call, writes your estimate, and does the work is the same person — and that person holds the licence. Homeowners across the region have left 105 five-star reviews on Google and 74 reviews on Thumbtack at 4.9 stars.
Free Electrical Safety Inspection
Book a free electrical safety inspection on its own, or get one included with any job we complete — either way there is no charge for the inspection. Ahmad checks the surrounding circuits, connections, breakers, and GFCI protection, looking for anything that could become a problem later.
After the inspection, you receive a written summary by email and text explaining what was found and what needs attention. That documentation is yours to keep — share it with a property manager, an insurance company, or a future electrician.
The inspection covers looking at the system and reporting what Ahmad sees. If a fault needs diagnosing — tracing a problem through multiple circuits or opening a panel to identify a failed breaker — that is troubleshooting work and is billed separately.

…He also did an electrical inspection of my entire house and made recommendations.
No Trip Fee and Free Estimates
No trip fee, free estimates. Ahmad does not charge you a fee to come out and look at the job. You get an itemised written estimate before any work begins, and you decide whether to proceed. If you say no, you owe nothing for the visit.
If the problem requires diagnostics or troubleshooting before a repair can be quoted — for instance, tracing a fault through multiple circuits or opening a panel to identify a failed breaker — that diagnostic work is billed separately, and Ahmad tells you the cost before he starts. You always know what you are paying for before you agree to it.
This is how it should work. Many electricians charge a service fee just to show up, before they have looked at anything. EV-Electric does not.
EV Charger Installation for Your Home
An electric vehicle is only as convenient as its charger. A Level 2 home charging station gives you a full charge overnight — no more trips to a public station or waiting hours on a standard wall outlet. Ahmad installs EV chargers in homes across Fairfax County and Northern Virginia, handling the full scope of the project from start to finish.
That means a dedicated 240-volt circuit from your electrical panel to the charging location, proper wire gauge for the amperage your charger requires, a weatherproof installation if the charger is mounted outdoors, permit coordination with Fairfax County, and a final inspection. The charger works on the day it is installed, and it is built to pass inspection because the work was done to code from the start.
Whether you have a Tesla, a Ford, a Rivian, or any other EV, the electrical requirements are straightforward and Ahmad has done this installation many times. Read more on our EV charger installation page, or call (571) 500-6637 for a free estimate.
…He installed our Tesla charger and helped install a light fixture. He’s professional, punctual and explains everything thoroughly.
